River, Sea, and Cave Jelly

I was having a rather difficult time finding river, sea and cave jellies for a fish smoker as they are very rare catches. In doing quite a bit of research and some educated guess work I believe I came up with a good method to ease the process. To start with in the game the fishing is broken up into zones 1-5 the further out you go the more likely you will be to catch rare fish. I however am fishing the closest to the shore in order to get more of the instant catches such as things like alge, seaweed and various jellies tend to be. I am also fishing with an advance iridium rod, equipped with a curiosity lure, treasure hunter and regular bait to increase the catch rate. With this set up and the close to sure fishing I caught sea jelly within 3 casts and cave jelly within about 15. Significantly shorter then my 3 days of fishing to get the river jelly. I think if you increase your luck even further with a shrimp cocktail. It may be even easier.

Yes, buff/player luck (gotten from buffs, lucky rings) massively increase the chance to get a jelly (5% additional chance to replace trash per point of luck).

The reason you want to cast close to shore is because the jellies replace trash (when you cast the checks for fish have to fail then it's a chance to replace trash). River and sea jellies are a little more complicated, having sort of 'threads' of catching them before you have to reel in an actual fish before you can resume catching them.
