New Year's Resolutions for the Villagers

Hey y'all! Just wanted to find out what New Year's Resolutions the villagers should have. Here are a couple of mine:
Shane: Stop drinking. Quit Joja and find another job.
Haley: Stop being a brat and actually look for your Grandma's necklace. Also maybe don't be a b*tch to the farmer when they first arrive.
Alex: Read a book and stop asking me if I own a bikini.
Sebastian: Get more Vitamin D. Stop smoking. I know you are immortal, but only stupid people smoke.
Abigail: Let Vincent and Jas win the egg hunt.

Well, he could go into business by himself, like invest in a fishing rod, then make a living by selling fish. Even if he only bought a training rod, he'd get a decent income that way.

That being said, there's at least one mod where he starts working for Pierre so he gets a different income and Pierre gets a couple of days off a week instead of beign behind the counter literally every day with no weekend.

Find a training dummy that's smarter than Seb, Robin's starting to notice he's even paler than usual from blood loss
Determine precisely where indigo turns to violet and make Bobbi find me an indigo gem
Investigate what the new farmer girl did to the previous ugly one
20 powersquats per day lifting "How I Feel About Bobbi", otherwise I'll look like I'm doing handstands when I wear a sleeveless outfit
Finally finish correspondence course "Grounding Your Project to Earth, or: Avoiding zapping your friends into enemies"
Learn a trade that pays more than teaching 3 kids a few times a week, if I do cosmetology maybe Maru will lend me her telescope

If the community center is completed, Pierre has the store open all days of the week. Once the Ginger Island resort is built though, he often leaves the store and let shoppers deal with an honesty box.

After you complete the Community Centre Pierre's is open 7 days a week.

And before that, yes it's annoying but even greedy merchants should get a regular weekly day off and not just an occasional resort run.

I find it annoying that the merchants do not get days off. I get invested in these pixel people and just want them to have a life outside work.

As to New Year's resolutions:

Lewis probably wants to work even harder to impress the governor, although I hope that at his age he's given up his dreams of being governor himself.
Pierre is determined to stop price gauging. He's also bad at keeping New Year's resolutions.
Sebastian may want to give up smoking.
Maru wants to finally finish a project without electrocuting her friends.
Shane probably just wants to stay on the wagon, for Jas' sake if nothing else.
Elliott just wants to finish another novel.
Pam wants to drink less and be kinder to Penny. And she, too, is bad at keeping resolutions.
George wants to get out from behind the television and maybe even go outside.
Clint wants to try a dating app. He'll probably chicken out before the first weekend of Spring.
Abigail wants to go into the mines. At least until she finds out that she actually doesn't like killing things.

It's amazing how many people think it's a crime that Clint dares to take a day off after the community centre and Pierre before, or that Marnie gets TWO days off.

I mean he doesn’t really mention his business though in his dialogue so you would be forgiven if you felt like he wasn’t doing much with it.
