For the great occasion of you-know-what I wore Jerry to school. He had a bunch of new people to meet and everyone was happy to see him. Jerry and I got lots of looks and questions but none in a bad way. Would be disappointing to know that someone could not love the most loveable hat out there so I'm glad that people in my school passed the test!

I have drawn pixel Jerry using the top hat sprite from in-game View attachment 39444

I wasn't sure what resolution would be best, so I made a smaller Stardew sized one:

I accidentally made the original large Jerry too big my first try.
Why is he looking at me like that...
The eyes are weird ngl. Otherwise looks great! I also gotta use more references instead of just trying stuff till it works because sometimes it doesn't.

I honestly was not sure how to approach drawing the eyes 😭 If you have any ideas on how I could improve them, it would be appreciated.
Wellll, I didn't really reference it, it's more like a recolor. References are very helpful, though. I probably should've started using them sooner, but... I dunno, it can be fun drawing without them sometimes.
I think drawing is a bit like playing Stardew Valley in a way. You mess around for awhile first, and then you get into the more structured and technical stuff.

If only my eyes looked much better...

Drawing without a reference is definitely fun, and I mostly do that in in traditional, but I have no clue how-to-pixel-art so I thought looking at stuff others made would at least give me some general idea on what works.
Messing around part is not getting canceled though. Never.
