I encountered a bug where an item that had already been donated to the Museum disappeared.
I am confident that I donated my Prismatic Shard during the first year, before I knew about the Galaxy Sword (the shard was placed directly above the Starfish, as shown in the screenshot). Today, when I checked the Museum, the Prismatic Shard was missing. This also caused the “Rearrange” option in the Museum to stop working.
After that, I checked my storage at home, and the Prismatic Shard was in its original state, showing the description:
(I did not re-check the shard’s description again after donating it while writing this post.)
I am not sure whether the originally donated Prismatic Shard returned to my inventory or not. I only noticed that the shard was missing from the Museum.
