More Potential Community Upgrades

I think the game could benefit from a few small added buildings. I don't even think these would need many (if any) new items to make them possible to realize.

School: I know this is a pretty common request, but I think a 1-room schoolhouse would be a nice addition to Pelican Town. The building could either go near the playground by the community center or in Cindersap forest and would make Penny's role as a teacher a lot nicer. I think making it part of a heart event for Penny but making it take a lot of hardwood and other materials for Robin to build with would be nice.

Aquarium: I think the fish in game could be a lot cooler if there was a place to show them off for the villagers. I think an aquarium on the beach would be a nice addition that wouldn't take up any space in town. Donating one of each fish could be an achievement as well. This could take some hardwood like the other buildings I'm suggesting, but I think Lewis, Willy and Robin could work on it on their own as well since the farmer is already doing so much by donating the fish? Maybe just a financial donation to get it built would give some variety since most players are anti-Joja.

Temple: I know this is a stretch since the game veered away from the Yoba stuff (and even Yoba was a recycled name from Wumbus World. You can't hide from me, Eric.)

I feel like adding a place for anyone in or outside the town to worship or pray would add a lot to the game. The farmer could build this as well and I think it could go in Cindersap Forest. There could be separate rooms for worshipping Yoba, the dwarf king, the shadow person deity, and maybe even a junimo deity and goblin deity. Alternatively, a temple and shrine to each could be built in different places around the valley (junimos in the secret woods, dwarves and goblins in the mines, shadow people in an underground temple connected to the sewers, and Yoba either in town between Clint's and Joja or in Cindersap forest.

Pierre could have a cutscene complaining about needing the altar room for storage when you get set on the temple quest, then each additional temple or altar in the temple could be unlocked with a cutscene with Krobus, the dwarf, the goblin, etc. Praying at (or just interacting with) each altar could also give a daily buff to the farmer, like the blessing and dwarf king statues already do.

I really think these would add a lot to the game and give the townsfolk more to do. The temple/temples would probably be the most labor-intensive, and arguably the furthest from the current vibe of the game, but I feel like just doing something nice for Krobus by giving him somewhere to pray on Fridays or helping Pierre out since he needs the space would make it feel a lot more like regular SDV quests.

My first thought was "that doesn't seem necessary, there are only two children in this town" BUT something like a blackboard could help Penny. Maybe some are to show Vincent and Jas basic science experiments like a volcano eruption with baking soda and vinegar. Technically she could do it in the library, but Gunther wouldn't be too happy about that. So yeah a school would be cool, it could also be a museum extension, not a separate building.

Yes, would be great. 1.6 making the CC aquarium work is cool, but that would be even better, especially if it's big enough to hold every fish. The important question is, would I be able to fill it with sea urchins wearing hats instead of fish?

Love the aquarium idea would give some more uses to the fishes besides catching them for perfection.

I'd like to think there would be a dedicates urchin and coral tank respectively, but that there would be slots for each fish to show them all off

I also think the addition of a schoolhouse just generally shows a respect for education in Pelican Town. Just having a dedicated space to for a teacher to do their work and for students to have would be really nice. There could be a section of it for the kids to watch educational shows, a lunch table, and maybe even a play area. With the farmer's kids and Leo, there are 5 total potential students, but even with the base 2 kids it makes sense to have a building for whenever the population could go up.

I forgot about Leo. And our kids going there would be great. Better than just have them running around the house and showing off my hats.

I think the community center could be used for a school house, and maybe a secret unlockable for filling the community fish tank with legendary fish would be cool. Also, having old master canoli do something for your temple stuff would be cool too. Maybe make a special one-off syrup or something out of the sweet gem berry, and him and the bear can have a cutscene together eating it. Idk, these sound like really good ideas overall

The craft room would make a good school room. And I wish there was something to do with the kitchen. I'd love to be able to cook there.

That's a good idea and maybe the children the player has could also go to the school? And maybe Leo could go to the school as well?
it's always bothered me that the player's children don't receive a "proper" education. Like, I can't do math. I let the shipping bin do that for me. How are you supposed to fly when i turn you into doves if you don't know calculus? This isn't random math. You need to know this for your future. That's why Emily has a parrot y'know!

Being able to smelt a limited number of things in bulk in the boiler room would be a pretty decent upgrade i think. And if you "get elected mayor", maybe you can get taxes from the vault or something? Idk. I know the whole "Player becoming mayor" thing is a pretty polarizing subject, as in you either love it or you hate it.

Can you use a cookout kit indoors? Also, I think it would be a very nice reward to be able to use the community kitchen, particularly if you have not upgraded your house yet.
This.

I mean, seriously, there are community kitchens irl, and if you weren't slaving around for the CC then you would likely have been able to complete your house easily Year 1.
