Solved Modded Stardew via Steam - no sound; desperate

Hi all,
I'm running SVE through Steam, but when I launch the game there's no sound. I have tried just about everything that I've seen recommended in the forums, updated literally everything I can think of as well as some things I've never heard of, verified file integrity, deleted startup preferences file, etc. etc. etc. but nothing has worked. My PC is hooked up to my TV, and the sound does actually work, just not when I launch Stardew.

For added context: for a little while I was launching it through Vortex (like through the mod manager app?) which is what my friend who set up all my mods for me recommended. But then I started having intermittent issues with the sound not working; it would eventually work if I restarted the game 2 to 5 times, but then it stopped altogether. So I started thinking maybe it was because of Vortex or something -- also I just wanted to launch it through Steam like normal -- so I uninstalled Vortex and set the launch options for SMAPI like the Internet said to do, but still no sound.

Windows 11
Game version: 1.6.15
SMAPI log: https://smapi.io/log/f8588a97b12f48c2a4182d6b9afbdfa6
List of mods:

Am I supposed to delete the .json file now that I don't have Vortex installed?
I only partially understand what's going on.
Please help me, I'm so sad.

Thanks in advance!!

Have you tried the solutions mentioned here?
I have, yeah :( It looks like this is the error that's related to the sound [ALSOFT] (EE) Failed to get padding: 0x88890004 but Google only had a couple relevant results and the fixes they mentioned were basically just changing the output device, which I have also tried to no avail.

Oh. My god.
There was a pair of earbuds "connected" via Bluetooth that weren't actually connected (I think it still said Connected even when the earbuds were out of the country with my husband -- regardless the sound did not work then either) and it wasn't able to disconnect them for some reason, so I removed them from Bluetooth entirely and now the sound works.
YAY but also omg the amount of time I have fought this.
