Mac missing executable

Hi!

I'm making a post here for my friend.

We were trying to play but her game wouldn't launch and it said she was missing executable, followed by a path to the game folder. We've tried reinstalling the game, verify cache, restarting the macbook and also the compatibility build. Non of these have worked. She has never installed any mods, and the launch option box is empty.

I've never used a mac before, and trying to help over discord proved to be very difficult, especially considering there weren't many guides for it.

Does anyone PLEASE have a clue on how to fix this?

Looks like this is a Steam error. You may want to use search terms that include Steam, Mac and the error message. If no one here is able to help, you may find help on the Steam forums. I might also suggest updating the post title to include Steam.
