For a while now I have not seen the usual message like "You have learned a few things about [skill]" when re-reading a book of power like Woody's Secret (on any skill that was not up to 10). I was not sure if I was actually gaining the XP points you're supposed to get, but now that I have all skills up to 10 and am working on Mastery, I can actually check the difference, and it looks like 100 points are in fact being added when the book is read. It just doesn't display the message. I'm playing in English, version 1.6.15, windows 11 desktop, no mods. This happens in other save files as well (I start new ones fairly often). There seem to be a lot of little glitches like this that have crept into 1.6.15. It would be reassuring if the message would display when you gain the points.
