Make it so when you cook, it doesn’t prioritize rare fish

You should also just not have rare fish in the fridge honestly
I do agree for examples like salmon and periwinkle where they're needed for their own recipes but can also be grabbed for something like sashimi. Sure salmon and squid are moderately 'rare' but something like periwinkle is one of the cheapest (literally 20g) fish and also has it's own recipe. Maybe just prioritize fish that don't have their own recipe? (But then those odd people who keep legends in their fridges and accidentally use them for sashimi will chime in and it's a slippery slope)

The priorities are:
1.) your inventory
2.) the fridge
3.) the mini fridges in the order that you place them.
Within each, the priority goes from the last slot (bottom right) to the first (top left).
I try to put a stack of cheap fish in the last slot of the fridge and pay attention to my inventory. Once you have several fridges, you can also place fish that you need for specific recipes in the last mini fridge and keep a stack of common fish in the kitchen fridge.
