How do you do, fellow kids?

You can ask me anything here and I'll answer with things I can think of. No guarantee whether they're right, rong or real though I'll try to keep it real. If it's too personal, I may treat it as an excuse for creative writing or maybe I'll just eat some choccy cake instead.

What's farmer Bobbi's origin story both in game and in real life?
By the way is it true that farmer Bobbi had some lessons with Lewis on how to make your own golden statue?

Local Legend
Lew Zealand is a boomerang fish throwing muppet who's voice has been stuck in my head for decades and seeing as I have a very common name IRL and wanted to be able to search for old posts, I took something a bit less common for my online searchy name. In all his glory:

That's so fun, I always wondered if the name was a reference to anything, I fear I'm a little too young and uncultured to have picked up on the muppet reference right away

What are your favorite games, other than stardew
I play Rocket League (see below) almost habitually, like the way people need a vape or a drink. Saw a YTer play about a decade ago and instantly knew it was my thing. Like I hadn't played games in years but made a PC to play. Hooked ever since.

Also love Minecraft, Horizon Zero Dawn (and FW), Hogwarts Legacy, Slime Ranchers, all Tomb Raiders. And I have an unhealthy relationship with Ark:SE and :SA. All of these except the Tomb Raiders are really just vibe games for me. Start up, vibe for a bit or a super longer bit and get out.

Y'know… eventually

Farmer Bobbi's origin story is detailed in the first 2 installments here, but mainly she was a member of the Zuzu City Chickens Rocket League team and may or may not have had some anger management issues:

Bobbi, I suppose

As for the golden statue, well Farmer Bobbi thinks that she and Lewis may have received smelting lessons from the same metallurgist in neighboring Sandpiper Town but wife Emily insists that instead smelting comes naturally for Fartmer Bobbi as she's obviously the one who's always dealt it.

do you play bedrock or java, if both, which do you prefer
also who's your fav character in SV
I play Java mostly as that what I started with and once I finally figured out how to install shaders I could make it look pretty. Also the lighting and sparse/missing grass especially in plains biomes and mountains bugged me in Bedrock, though both of these have been addressed in more recent updates. Bedrock still feels a bit like alt-Minecraft to me though as my 💯 favorite way to kill hostile mobs is 2 crits with a Stone Axe aaaaaaaand that doesn't exist in Bedrock. Bedrock crit parity update NOW!

My fave character in Stardew is probably Emily, which seems kinda like cheating as she's Farmer Bobbi's wife in my current playthrough but her dialog and game behaviors are fun to write about. It's weird how little everyone else stands out but I got 10  with everyone a long time ago so I rarely see anyone else other than running into them on the beach at Ginger when I warp there.

The Wizard is the easiest to write for however as he's a charlatan faker and Farmer Bobbi sees right though him, so their verbal sparring is just loads of fun to write. Hardest to write for is Penny as I just can't get a vibe or personality for her.

Have you ever installed two operating systems on one computer at the same time?
Erm yes. 🤓 Had Mac OS and Windows on multiple machines as I didn't want to pay the Apple tax so bought a cheap Windows MiniPC and put Mac OS on it like a funny Mac Mini. And tried Chrome OS and Mac OS on another machine just for fun.

The hardest part of Stardew Valley for me is patience because I've played enough that I have a cunning plan that simply need to be executed. However the problem is I can't concentrate long enough to remember the new weird idea I came up with the previous day and in the process of trying to remember, my original plans exit the building never to be seen again. I'll generally remember a season or so later by which time the plan is rendered useless 'til next year.

There is a plan but the curse of randomness is never denied.

Heehee I see that sneekytext. In my job and home life I have little time spaces between things fairly frequently and I need those spaces to keep me sane or whatever I call this brainstate. Other people choose to do more things and many are motivated by that. But not me, I chose to do fewer things and preserve myself. I have been asked to and offered to do more things but have always had the option to refuse and I have chosen that option each time. Yes it is a big privilege to have that choice and not be forced by circumstances to do a new more annoying thing because I have no choice.

This is a thing my dad did not understand until very late in life but then he was motivated by different experiences as a kid to accomplished the things he wanted. Those things enabled me and my siblings to do things differently. Not necessarily better, just a little closer to what enables us not to get chewed up by the overachievers out there.

Yeah kinda wandered there but my time here is enabled by many things which could have turned out differently for better or worse, but so far have been good enough.

Do you liek cheez

Also what hobbies do you have, if you bake, what recipes? Anything I should try baking as an 11 year old that's interested in baking?
Cheez is life, especially in Skull Caverns but also IRL. My favorite bakething is lasagna (3 cheezez!) because it is has a very high yummydensity. I started baking at about 11 and muffins are a great starter because they're small so they bake fast and pretty close to thoroughly (no raw insides with overly crusty outsides). Plus they're also yummy and you can share with loads of other people!
