Switch Leo is Missing after I took him to the movies

I’m at two hearts with Leo and wanted to raise it so I took him to the movies. I wasn’t sure it would let me but I did it anyways and it did. I’m only at two hearts so he’s still only on Ginger Island. I got the two hearts cut scene after the movies and haven’t seen him before or after that.

I was wondering if this happened to anyone else and if there’s anyway to fix it.
