The first month of back to school (I work for a division, not a teacher, definitely not a student) was extra chaotic and wildly busy this year, but we're past that and now back to plugging along. My mother in law is in town for a visit that was supposed to be for my daughter' birthday even though it's a month early, since she had an unmoveable schedule conflict in November. (Stereotypes aside she's a lovely person, this is a good thing). My daughter is having none of it, so instead our big get together this weekend was for the excuse of everyone getting to see MiL instead.
She's 89, and I swear she is in better health than I am.
Otherwise, we finally got my "new" computer set up (let's just say I bought the parts for it before computer part prices exploded thanks to AI...). I've been playing less Stardew because I got into another game for a while (Wildmender - still have probably half the plot to go and am enjoying the heck out of it), but also puttering veeeery slowly with working on a mod. Spritesheet 2/3 finished, portraits 3/4 or more finished, some of the code down. I have Tiled but never having done mapping that's the most daunting, but I do need at least a first draft of a home map to test whether the character is actually doing what he should do.
