iOS Interacting with Children Causes Decor Objects to "Pick Up"

Upon interacting with my children inside the farmhouse, it often results in a nearby decor object to be removed from it's placement, and go into my inventory (with the inventory tile automatically selected, holding the item for placement).
Typically this happens with a nearby rug, which I am unable to place it back to where was (presumably because the child is situated around the tiles for the object to be placed).

There are no error logs, but I can upload my save file if need be.

I've experienced this glitch for a long time, and I'm unsure what the cause of it is.. Maybe something to do with collision? I would love to interact with the children in the morning without redecorating lol

Happens in the Android version too. I notice it does it more often when I'm zoomed out a bit and tap on the child from afar to go interact with it. Then I often end up picking up objects half a room from the child. Like "No... I wanted to go and hug my child, not take that painting off the wall." If I run up to the child, zoom in, and then interact it at most pick up the rug under the child.

The rug thing also happens with pets, but at least they move away if you push at it so the rug can be placed where it were.

This happens on PC, when I put a rug in the stable, then try to right-click to milk a cow or shear a sheep who's standing on the rug.

I have also experienced this on iOS 1.6.15.1 build 25156 (iPhone 17).

In my case, it does not happen every time. I have noticed it can happen when I pet one of my children for the first time that day, around the time the child displays the heart bubble. I have not noticed any connection to the in-game time of day.

The rug underneath/near the child is picked up fairly often, but occasionally a much more distant decorative object is picked up instead. For example, an indoor plant and a potted plant on a side table were removed from their places when I was trying to pet the child.

I don’t have a video of the bug yet because it happens inconsistently, but I have screenshots showing the different results.

I also noticed another odd behavior when interacting with my children: my character always turns to face left after interacting with them, regardless of which side of the child I approach from. I recorded a video showing this behavior.

I uploaded a video to YouTube set to “Unlisted.”

I was also able to capture a scene where my child was putting away furniture while I was petting him.
