Hi everyone! I’m kinda new in the game and i can’t figure how to put the bait in my fishing rod! Pls help!

In your inventory, hold the stack of bait to select, drag it onto the pole. You can't do it in your toolbar, you have to open your inventory. You can select the whole stack of bait, or hold a moment longer to count how many you want to move. Hope this explains it!
in addition to the post above, it's worth noting you need a fiberglass rod or better to equip bait. you can't equip bait with the old rod
