How to earn combat XP

Typically I spend a while in the mines, doing nothing but fighting mobs and going to the next floor, and that gets my combat skill up pretty quickly
but you can also read the combat quarterly book, which gives (I think) 200 xp
In general any Kill will give you xp, so if you can find a good spot with plenty of enemies that would probably work

Go for the various monster extermination goals. Even with counting on the least amount of xp for each type, completing them will give you more xp than is needed to reach level 10 in Combat.

Slimes: 1000 x 3 xp = 3000 xp (if you only kill green ones. blue are 6 xp, red/purple 10 xp)
Void spirits: 150 x 15 xp = 2250 xp (doesn't matter which type)
Bats: 200 x 3 xp = 600 xp (frost bats 7 xp, lava bats 15 xp, iridium bats 22 xp)
Skeletons: 50 x 8 xp = 400 xp
Cave insects: 80 x 1 xp = 80 xp (grubs 2 xp, cave fly 10 xp)
Duggies: 30 x 10 xp = 300 xp (magma duggy 18 xp)
Dust sprites: 500 x 2 xp = 1000 xp
Rock crabs: 60 x 4 xp = 240 xp (lava crab 12 xp, iridium crab 20 xp)
Mummy: 100 x 20 xp = 2000 xp
Pepper rex: 50 x 7 xp = 350 xp
Serpent 250 x 20 = 5000 xp
Magma sprites: 150 x 15 xp = 2250 xp
Sum: 17,470 xp
Needed for Combat 10: 15,000 xp.

I usually go for the shadow people in the mines or the serpents in skull cavern if I want to get a lot of xp quickly. Magma sprites are also good, but more annoying to kill.

The haunted skulls don't count towards any of the extermination goals. That said, they give 15 xp.

Other monsters that don't count towards the goals are golems, ghosts, metal heads, squid kid, blue squid, spiders. They do give xp, but I treat them more like bonus xp. If I'll need to complete the monster eradication goals for Perfection, and get extra rewards for each of those goals, I'd rather target those monsters first.

1st by money, wait for the seller who arrives at Each Friday and Sunday and hope for that he brings combat exp buy 34 books and you will be good
2nd slay the slimes in first 20 floor they are easy to kill but give little exp
