How old are we supposed to be?

How old is the main character actually supposed to be? Since some of the romance options seem like teenagers (Alex, haley, sam) and the others like Harvey seem a bit older.

I'm just confused because of that, it might have been said in the beginning of the game but could've forgotten 😅

The Farmer's age isn't mentioned which allows people of all ages to play as reasonably close to their real age if they choose to. Many people seem to see most of the marriage candidates in their 20s which matches many of their behaviors so that may be the average target age for the Farmer. However without real choices older than Harvey and maybe Elliott, it seems that Farmers over 35 or so are looking at the romance options being younger people. You can headcanon all you want though and have Leah and Harvey and Elliott and Shane be over 40 even if they don't look all that different in their sprites. Maybe Emily's 35 or so? Really Marnie, Sandy, Marlon, Gunther, even Clint (if he gets a rewrite) could be added as older options.

I can't believe Shane is 40 lol. Elliot is in his mid 30s Leah also seems to be early to mid 30s for me. Marnie is in her late 40s to early 50s in my opnion and Clint is in his mid 40s while Gunther is also in that range. Marlon is early 50s I think and Sandy is someone I'm confused about.

I think mid to late 20s since it seems like they have been at Joja Corp for a bit but not too long and most likely 3 to 4 years in my opnion. May be early 30s but I believe late 20s is more believable.

Ah okay thanks, i thought i missed something in the start. 😅 but yeah i do think there should be bit older options

In the intro, after grandpa dies, it says "XX [20] years later"
the player, likely being very young when grandpa dies, is most likely in their early 20s to late 30s.

I believe the XX represents any two digit number, so at least 10 and less than 100, not specifically the number 20. Of course, the beauty is that it is ultimately up to our interpretation. I don't believe it has ever been clarified definitively, and I think it's best that way.

Oh, that could very well be it... I always just assumed it was roman numerals lol
