Windows [HELP] Only seeing "Connecting to online services" when clicking on coop-button

A friend of mine just downloaded the game today and we wanted to play together, but when she clicks on the coop-button she can only see the message "Connecting to online services" and then nothing happens. We also tried me setting up a game and her trying to join via friend invite, but still the same issue persists. Other games work just fine, like Age of Empires II. Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem?

Same issue here but on Linux w/ Steam.
I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and trying to get this to work. But nothing. Same screen.

Having the same issue. Friends of mine and I have co-oped on this farm last year. I booted it up tonight and it only gives me an Offline/Friends Only/Invite Only option under Server Mode in the Multiplayer section. No online option and it won't connect when I click Invite Friend or Show Invite Code.
