Help me with SMAPI please!

Hello! I really need help with the newest SMAPI update. I have a Mac computer and downloaded the last SMAPI with ease, but all of a sudden this one doesn't work. Whenever I go to install the new update, it doesn't work. The old one does still. So, I have developer tools on for terminal, and I have reset my computer, but whenever I press the macOS install, it says it might contain malware, which is normal, and I go into my settings to press "Open Anyway," but any time I press 'Open Anyway' on the little pop-up, it does nothing. Like there was nothing in the folder. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.... It's not like I can say it says anything or I can send a SMAPI log - It just stops, completely ignores it. As if I didn't press it all. Some mods I want are already getting outdated, and I really want to update it.
