PC [HELP] Connection Failed

Connection Failed
No matter what me and my girlfriend do she cant connect to my game online.

-she is on mac i am on windows
-both opening the game from steam
-right no. of cabins
-have restarted both computers and routers
-have tried the online code, have tried inviting and have tried join game button
-she only has the choice between online and offline on the multiplayer menu no "Friends Only"

its is becoming extremely frustrating please help.

Have you tried changing your steam name? How about going to %appdata%\StardewValley (by pressing Windows+R or searching in the search bar) for you, and ~/.config/StardewValley (by pressing Go--> Go to folder in Finder) for her, and deleting the startup_preferences file in that folder?

we have the same problem, we tried delete the startup_preferences file, but doesn´t work. And our Steam name is so normal, i dont know how we can fix it.
