All mods uninstalled/removed. Uninstalled the game, removed the local folder, reinstalled the game. stardewvalley.exe seemingly shuts itself down even before properly starting, based on steam game running messages and task manager. My PC's 64-bit.
Currently installed:
Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime - 5.0.12 (x64)
Microsoft .NET Runtime - 5.0.12 (x64)
Microsoft ASP.NET Core 5.0.12 - Shared Framework (x64)
no error logs formed. The game just doesn't launch. If I try to open it with steam (with launch options empty) the game says it is running, until it isn't. Not even a window pops up.
after trying unmodded I installed the newest version of SMAPI just so I can check the logs, and this was all I got:
