Switch Has anyone caught a Midnight Carp since 1.6.9 dropped?

I've been trying to catch a Midnight Carp all season since Fall started but haven't gotten any yet. Am I just having bad luck, or might there be a bug?

Edit: I caught some from the mountain lake during Winter. Another poster in this thread said they caught one on the island. Possibly only the forest pond is affected?

I also haven't caught one. I've fished from 10-2 for 10 nights in a row in winter and got nothing

I've not nothing, and was loosing my mind. Lol. Normally I catch them right away in the first pond.

Not only does it seem you can’t catch midnight carp in the cindersnap forest pond, but also seems that the pond in ginger island east now only spawns salt water fish (no discus) and the fountain in the town now spawns river fish (no luck fishing out the trashcan so far). Not sure if these are intended

Same here, but because it was my first catch, the game didn't even put it into my inventory. I know your fishing skill doesn't go up during this festival, per the wiki, it must affect first catches as well. Hopefully I can find another one.
