Hardwood missing?

I have the riverside farm, and am trying to get hardwood. So I chop all the big logs on the farm, expecting them to appear the next day... but they dont! I got rid of all debris and buildings but it just won't generate! Anyone know why?

They don’t respawn on your farm. There’s an area hidden in the forest where 6 stumps respawn every day. If you get mahogany seeds, plant them and add tree fertiliser if you can.

Oh... its just that we usually play on forest farm and it respawned there so we thought it would here too. Guess I'll have to stick to the secret woods!

yes, that is one of the perks of the forest farm.

The regrowing stumps are an exclusive to forest farm and four corners (having 8 and 1 stump respectively), otherwise early game hardwood is most easily gotten through the secret woods as Ereo said, the passage there is at the north westernmost point of cindersap forest (above the wizards tower)
