PC Gus' Famous Omelet with Auto-Grabber

The wiki says one can grab the eggs from the Auto-Grabber but this didn't trigger the "collected"-bar when I tried to finish Gus' Famous Omelet last time.
I already had this quest finished before but with manual collecting. And it worked fine for "collecting" and "giving".
Can anyone help why this didn't work with Auto-grabber? Thanks.

I've never had an issue with it not counting what came from the autograbber. In fact, both times I've done this one were when I had an autograbber doing the harvesting. This is not to discount your issue, just to point out that this isn't normal behavior.

Yes, but not only. The Auto-grabber collected the eggs already before and also during the quest. Some days before quest-end - enough time to have 24 new eggs since the quest-start - I took 24 eggs out at ones and gave them to Gus.
Maybe it only counts when having no old eggs in the Auto-grabber left when starting? I will test that as soon as a get this quest again...
