Switch Ginger Island Volcano Glitch

Playing local multiplayer on switch

After downloading update 1.6.9, we’re having an issue with the Volcano Dungeon.

If the secondary player enters the volcano with the primary player entering first, there’s an issue with the dungeon each room looks exactly as the first room, no enemies or mine nodes appear appear either, absolutely nothing but lava pools/streams and a path.

The 5th room also includes the same initial lava stream, but is uncrossable- the lava appears blue in this room, but will not turn if using the water can, and will not fill up the watering can.

Everything is normal if the primary player enters first.

What do I do?

I’m encountering the same issue, regardless of who enters first. The graphics seem to be missing something else each time, like the bridge, the parrot perch, etc.
Sometimes the lava is black.

This is one of the numerous glitches I've encountered since the update got released. It's kind of irritating :/

is there a fix for this? its discouraging to continue playing when the second player can’t do anything in the cave at all because of this glitch. as of December 7, we are still encountering this glitch where all floors look the same without enemies then on floor 4 the lava becomes water.

This is still a problem. A really big on, the volcano is basically unplayable. As long as player one enters first you can kinda of done it. Bur we also had it glitch out and not let us leave a level to head home. As soon as you went through the door and the next level loaded it would make us go right back through the door. Putting us on the level we were trying to leave. We also just have enemies disappear on us when we are attacking them.

My husband and I play co-op on the switch and we're still noticing issues with the game crashing after we play a few days. Also, he's usually player 1 and has glitch issues on random levels of skull cave and the mine where the items mined can't be collected. As player 2, I don't have the mine glitches, but the volcano will not load properly. I just get the entry area of the volcano over and over again with no monsters or things to mine.

Seeing these posts I guess me and my wife can't do anything in the volcano. I played on the switch in the past with just my wife and cleared the volcano content. We now have a new data with our 4 year old. He is the primary player but kind of just fools around all day in the game. So that being said I guess he would be the only one that would have access to the volcano dungeon. The only plus side to this glitch is the access to the forge was there so I was able to get the prismatic shard. But I can't use the forge anyway since no enemies spawn that can drop the currency needed for it.
