Android Ginger island fossil bug

At first i didn't notice this, but after i donated fossil to professor snail in the ginger island, i noticed that the fossil is still in my inventory, so when i closed the donation interface then open it again, i can donate it again, i dont need to find 2 snake vertebrae and 2 fossilized leg.

Game version: version 1.6.15 build 24354.
OS: Android.
Lang: english
Mode: single player

Came here to report the exact same bug as you, hiyurigi.
Professor Snail got his fossils, which stayed in my inventory. So I donated them to my bone mills for some extra fertiliser. Boneus! (sorry)

I also came to report this bug. It's still present in v1.6.15.2 build 26086.
Android 15/single player/English/8BitDo Pro 3 gamepad, but I don't think that's a factor.
