Switch Ginger island Bird gem quest

On the Ginger island bird gem quest, I have collected 4 gems and I am unable to interact with the pedestals entirely, I have the gem selected and stood in every spot around the pedestal to place the gem but nothing happens, it will not interact with it at all. It’s a very heartbreaking bug and it completely hinders the quest, I have reset to my last save and tried again and still unable to place. Nintendo switch user- please notice this…..

Same issue, I think. PS4/5. Ver 1.5.4.2 ( unsure how to find this in-game, the wiki says that is most up to date version.) Unable to place gems on the pedestals on rainy days. ( that is X or □ buttons for interactions ) will come report shortly if able to do on regular weather days

Before you complete the puzzle, there’s a bird on top of the statue. Since it’s gone in your picture, you must have completed it earlier.
