Mac Gifted trinkets not showing up in gift log?

I noticed that gifting trinkets does not add them to the log. this is on a singleplayer save, macOS sequoia 15.2 (I assume it will happen on multiplayer as well, but I don't have trinkets unlocked on any of my multiplayer saves)

here I gave Jas a fairy box (which she loves or at least likes) and it's not shown on the log

Same here. My goal was to give every item (within reason) to every villager but my fairy boxes, 13 gifted, weren't added to the gift log. Same with the frog egg that I gave to Vincent. Same with stardrop tea for anyone. It appears that some items are not coded to register within the gift log.

The Stardew Valley wiki also mentions this bug. Hope it will be resolved with an update.
