Switch Game softlocked at 2 am

I was fishing and lost track of time and cast my line out exactly as it turned 2 am which caused the game to kind of freeze but not really. I couldn't move, open any menus, press any buttons, etc. The only thing I could do was select items in my inventory with my cursor but I couldn't use them. Time didn't progress, but the rain kept falling and I kept blinking.
Kinda sad because I had to exit out of the game entirely to fix this and I lost a day's worth of progress.

On iOS I was able to let the game sit for a few minutes, then force closed the app, and when I restarted, and loaded the ”where you left off” autosave, it was 2am and my character passed out as intended.

This has happened to me on Windows while I was fishing on Ginger Island at 2 PM. I waited for a few minutes and nothing happened. I ate some gingerbread cookies that fix all games after I eat them - and nothing happened. Then I chose sword from inventory (I am guessing the scythe would also work) and moved as if trying to get out of bounds. This unlocked the game.
