1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Li'l update after playing a few days into Summer Year 5 now and this strategy for JotPK seems to be working with my highly distracted, fidgety play style. Farm maintenance done by 10am, visit Sandy for the Shirt of the day, visit the Quarry Mine for Cursed Mannequin drop (yet ANOTHER Male version, collection is like 5:1 now), maybe cruise Ginger if it's raining to play a tune for Emily's other sister. But end the day in the Saloon in front of a video game. I'm now up to World 2-2 (Nintendo parlance) in the forest but damn those mushrooms are fast. I'm kinda at my limit right now but who knows, maybe I'll get better.

So on Summer 1, Emms hits me with this:

Uhmmm.

Well I guess if you count our walk-in closet as storage space and therefore not livable square footage, then maybe. But:

I think it's because I'm in the middle of writing like 3 stories with Emily (another of which started right here with this screenshot but I'll post it elsewhere when it's ready) but I'm finding her to be the best spouse for some reason. I strongly suspect it's because I have an imagination now and wasn't quite there with previous ones yet.

Well, it's great you asked! I'm planning the final Farm layout and started taking Trees out and moving things. It's a big project which will probably take half a year but we'll see how it goes.

Maybe I'll just spend all my time in the Saloon instead.
Omg I love your house. I'm a decorator at heart, but there's a very limited amount of decorating when it comes to 1.5! I've decorated all houses/cabins on my farm, the bus stop, hat mouse, spa, beach, traveling cart, quarry, and more, but the 1.6 items will help so much!!!

Thanks so much! It doesn't feel like it's done but I'm done with it if that makes sense. The outfits now get swapped out for newer ones and I've added something new to each Fish Tank I just found out about:

Put Clay in a Fish Tank to get a Castle.

Edit: And today's accomplishment is: Finished the Farm walking path and getting some Trees growing though we're a long way away from finished Tree placement. There is a whole lot of themeing that will happen in each area of the farm so there is still much to be done.

Also broke ground on Emily's new clothing shop, Mermaid's Mending.

New visitors are required to take the walking tour but Friends of the Farm can take that li'l shortcut to the front door. If you're creative, you may convince the proprietresses to skip the tour if you bring pies or other such lovelies but we urge you to take the reverse tour on the way out unless you've had too much wine.

im currently on fall year 7, just crafting and working on the farm, i plan week to week hoping i get a decent qui quest so i can use all my stairs to his quest thats 120 floors then i am done with that otherwise i am fishing and taking care of 2 farms and planning to use my qui gems for something as so far i got a whole bunch and havnt used any but for a decunstructor.

On my Hades farm:
A flying serpant that spawned on the farm dropped an animal cracker, so all twelve ducks have one now. I have enough preserve jars made that I'm going to start giving them to the lava eels if I find more.

I finally made it back to the island twice. I unlocked the West side and the farmhouse. I also completed the pirate's wife quest and started befriending Leo.

My slime hutch is filling out quickly, predominantly with purple slimes. I set up a few fish tanka for them: one freshwater; one saltwater; one for frogs.:frog:

On my Raccoon City farm:
I got another cursed mannequin! This one's a male. They are currently in the tailor's shop; one has the mummy mask, the other has the skull mask.

I also planted some pineapples, starfruit, and taro root on the island and set up my extra kegs there to make some quick sell wine. I am slowly earning my way toward that clocktower. ^_^

Put Clay in a Fish Tank to get a Castle.
That is awesome. I had no idea. So many of my tanks are getting castles now. Thank you. ^_^

Experimented with theming a corner of the farm in order to mute the ugly yellow thing's blight upon my serene landscape. Not sure it's gonna stay this way but then I'm rarely one for wasting effort. It's missing the Golden Bobbi Statue though, I need to find how to mod that into the game.

And I bought us a combo Washer/Dryer to test for the new shop:

It came with a free dryer ball!

Did a bunch of rearranging Farm Buildings as apparently I've been breeding dumb animals that take after their owner, 'cuz they cant find their way to the free, tasty grass that's only just right over there. Totally super close. *sigh* They probably need glasses more than I do. Because of this animal myopia, I need for at least one of the Coop or Barn to migrate South on the Farm closer to the remaining grass for the Summer and Fall so the Sheep and Ostriches don't go hungry. But as I keep a big patch of grass on every farm, I'll just make sure the patch that does get mowed down by the previous Winter's hungry heated heifers in the Spring can accommodate the Barn's footprint in the summer. It just gets grass and no designing? Whew... I-I mean oh darn. On to the next thing!

I honestly can't remember the last time I made STORY progress in my original Save. I think for the better part of two years I've just been..y'know, farming. No progress in Ginger Island, confuzzzled about Goblin Quest. Finally looked it up and it turns out I can use that void egg I've been sitting around for ages. Anyhoo, I've returned the Ink to the Wizard and can now do those summoning towers thingies. Nice to have a goal to look forward to again. Still planning on dialing back farm activity and turning two field-areas into pasture and orchard territory . Closing in on the end of Summer, Year 5.

I 100% sympathize as I needed to hit the wiki for that one the first time. I'm sorry but if you're gonna try to hint me into figuring something out, I cannot do it. My brain simply is not clever that way. Same goes for the Ginger hints. Brain just said 'No.'

I'm really, really bad at figuring out puzzles, but also really resent "missing out" on things. So I'm the kind of person those expensive printed strategy guides were marketed for in, what, the early 2000s? In fact, when I missed basically every single side quest in Final Fantasy Crisis Core, I got so extremely angry that I sold the game and refused to ever touch it again.

So, uh. I spent a couple weeks/months on the Stardew wiki making sure I knew everything, and THEN I bought the game.

Doesn't help that it's been like six months since I got whatever clue I needed to get past the goblin. I kept wandering around in the sewers killing slimes and smashing rocks waiting for something -- anything -- to happen.

So, Trixie went to the county fair won the thing, and had no use for the prize tokens. But having gotten a bunch of the marriageable NPCs to eight hearts, she was curious to see who Welwyck would try to hook her up with. Well, Welwyck basically called her a floozie! Accused her of toying with them! It's not as if anyone even has been given a bouquet! No sympathy when you're losing your shirt at Qi's casino in the desert, lady!

Forgot to mention, she took Elliot to see Mysterium. Crane guy wasn't there and she won herself a little bear like the Grateful Dead bear. Elliott was absolutely ebullient about the movie. How could he not love a movie whose title sports a smattering of random accent marks? So sophisticated!

in my story i did my weekly special orders, mostly fishing, one was fish river fish I was like cool so I fished the river fish on my farm and got the job done, I am waiting for the qi mission to go down the mine again I am hoping if he locks the elevator this time it will hold a ton of radioactive ore, otherwise I'm taking care of the animals, working on friendship levels, and panning for the luck ring so I may be able to get more ores or prismatic shards, oh and I used some stone to cover all of the areas where the train station is and the hot spring building is as I plan to convert that to a work area, lol just like I did above the farm area going towards robins house. i have been curious can we concrete the paths all over Cindersap forest? maybe I will try it for fun or will the towns folk get upset I made paths everywhere, lol

She gave me that same fortune about 5 years straight while working on year 6 of marriage with my wife in co-op. Yeah, I don't know her endgame on that one...

Well, when it comes right down to it, Welwick's fortune is:
  1. An assessment of friendships with non marriageable NPCs.
  2. An attempt to pick a spouse based on friendship's levels with marriageable NPCs.
  3. An assessment of your combat skills.
I was being cheeky. "Alright, Ms. Shadchanit, you're going to try to pick my spouse for me?!? Here's a statistical hot mess, let's see how you cope!" Well she copes by shaming the PC for playing to succeed at the friendship component of the perfection mechanic! I will be curious to see what happens there when Trixie does marry. I suspect Welwick will settle down a bit.

In your case, I'm not sure the algorithm is even built to recognize a marriage to another PC, so you jilted all the locals so you could marry another foreigner! They pine for you precisely because you're emotionally unavailable.

Nothing much really, i’m in summer year four with a husband (alex and yes i’m a girl) and two kids (zachariah and deborah). I honestly just got married because i heard he helps around with the farm, however he RARELY ever does so😭

In terms of my farm, i don’t really own much since i was so focused on building my relationship with alex. I currently have 2 coops, 1 barn, 1 shed, 1 stable and two shipping boxes. Despite this, i am on my way to becoming rich since i just unlocked the greenhouse to grow strawberries, blueberries,
aubergines, grapes and cactus fruit. I have 4 chickens, cows, goats and ducks soooo not much going on but hopefully i can progress and unlock the pigs and rabbits

Perfect caught 3 scorpion carp to iridium in one session. Was doing this for practice. I didn't count how many times I've perfect caught scorpion carp but it's around 24 now. I was doing this for practice as I wanted to improve my perfect catch capabilities against difficult fish. No blessings of waters used

Finally finished up summer, year 5. Took longer than it should have because I was distrcted by Fields of Mistria. Going to begin trying to build the special wizard stuff: right now I need starfruit, so I'm hoping the traveling lady will have some that I can risk turning into seeds. I'm still planning to scale back farm operations, and will begin with what I still call "Cow Island" because it was originally my barn. Right now it's still growing corn from summer, but once winter comes my plan is to convert it entirely to pasture and orchard.
