Flute don't work

I think the host owns both stables. The stable isn't in Robins farm buildings menu for either of us to try to remove and re-add. At one point the guest got horse naming prompt. The main problem is the guest's horse flute doesn't work.
Here's someone else that seems like they had the same issue, except in my case the horse flute only works for me(the host) and not the guest, where as here it's the other way around:
