Wait the woodpile would be so cute! But doesn't it get smaller as you upgrade your house? And don't you need the wood for the Mysterious Qi questline?

This woodpile is more or less just a decoration, you can't interact with it by e.g. storing wood there. The only time it has a use is the mentioned Qi-quest, but not for the wood (you just have to pick something out of it what Qi hides there for you). And I don't think it get's smaller when you upgrade the farmhouse, it's only a question of proportions.
