Switch Desert Festival glitch in new update?

I just got the 1.6.9.40 update on Switch. Happens to be on the 1st day of the Desert Festival year 8. When I go to get on the bus, Pam isn't there & the sign is. When I try to buy a ticket, it won't let me & says to wait until the driver is there. I've never been able NOT to drive there before, so I'm guessing it's a new glitch.
