Linux Repairing the bus during the desert festival bug

I'm on year 2 and just repaired the bus station during when the desert festival would've been. The next day there's no cut scene about the bus being usable, but all the NPCs are taking the bus to the desert while I'm unable to travel there. I walk into the bus and nothing happens. Pam's already gone to the desert so can't drive

If the bus is there, you can buy a ticket.

Don’t walk into the bus, go to the ticket machine to the left. It might be hidden by trees.
