Controller not detected after console sleep/standby (Nintendo Switch 2)
Description of the issue:
On the Nintendo Switch 2 edition, every time I put the console into sleep mode and then resume Stardew Valley, the game no longer detects the already-registered controller. It shows the prompt asking me to press L + R on the controller I want to use, as if no controller were paired. This happens consistently whenever the console goes into standby — regardless of whether Stardew Valley was the last app used or whether I navigated through the console menu in between. The controller is already registered with the console, so the game shouldn't be losing the pairing.
This behavior is expected in multiplayer titles when connecting a new controller mid-session (e.g. Mario Kart), but it should not happen in a single-player game after simply waking the console from sleep.
Pattern: Occurs 100% of the time after resuming from console sleep/standby.
Version number: v.1.6.15 build 13
Full error text: No error message appears; the game just shows the "press L + R" controller registration prompt.
Save file: Not attachable — playing on Nintendo Switch 2, where the OS does not allow direct access to the save file.
OS and device: Nintendo Switch 2
In-game language: Spanish
Single-player or multiplayer: Single-player
Controller or keyboard/mouse: Controller
Anything else relevant: The controller stays properly registered at the console level; the issue is specifically the game re-requesting controller registration after wake-from-sleep.
