Present Junimo picks up the piece of paper and the squid ink bottle that had fallen to the floor in the chaos. There are symbols on the paper that he doesn't understand. He drinks the squid ink and feels woozy. Just as he is about to pass out future Junimo opens another portal, grabs his past self by the hand and pulls him into the portal.

”You’ll be safe here.” says the future junimo. “I can’t let you die…oh, and here’s some paper and pen.” “Where am I?” writes the present junimo, glaring into the void around him, dotted with fragments of land. “You’re somewhere safe. A rift between space time, where barely anything can get to without dark magic or tech as complex as mine.”
