Community Wishlist for 1.7 Update

1) A marriage quest where you gather materials and help to enhance/redecorate your spouse's outdoor area bc those look a bit ... paltry

2) Actual little pet houses instead of just some planks with a bowl

3) A new winter seed available from Pierre from year 2 onwards: Ice Salad (+ a recipe for Winter Veggies: ice salad + powder melon + pine cone + vinegar)

4) A new "House Renovations" option from Robin that allows you to change the colour/style of your kitchen cabinets (just a couple choices would be nice)

Personally, I would very much dislike a cooking minigame. It would merely create more work than it already is to gather all ingredients for recipes. I would love to see your research source for this request to learn more about why this is a desired feature to be added. Without the added context, I would believe that a visual effect (frying pan visible on stove/ action of opening and closing the oven, as examples) would be more desirable than having to participate in a time and motion sensitive cooking process. Time and energy are both already limited, I don’t see how a cooking minigame similar to the fishing minigame would be worthwhile as many cook merely as a means to obtain more energy- failed cooking minigames would negate that entirely, would it not?
This is so true.

My biggest wish is that CA adds more information on the other races (Elves, tundra dwellers, more goblins, etc.)
Idk if I actually want this, but what if there were other defective (good) monsters?? :slime:

Yeah some more lore about how the mines got infested and origins of the monsters. Also more defective monsters would be cool. Like a good boy slime. Or one of those flying bug things.

Just registered on the forum in order to write one thing: Even. Bigger. Backpack.

I know there's mods for that - but there's plenty of people who don't dabble in mods, and for them it'd be a great endgame QoL upgrade (like, make it obtainable in exchange for Qi gems).

Expanding on the town decorations idea mechanics-wise:

A couple of days after you finish the Community Center, you receive a letter asking you to come there for a meeting. In the CC you find Evelyn, Caroline, Jodi, and Robin. They introduce themselves as the new Town Decorations Commitee and ask for your help/input. Your first task is simply gather some wood so that Robin can make additional planters around town. Once that is done, you get a letter on the last week of each season saying that voting for the decorations for the upcoming season is open. At the CC, you'll find a ledger that shows you the available options for the standard town and for the festival days. After maybe 2 - 3 seasons, you will also see new options that can be bought and chosen right there.

Newspaper as an alternative to the television.
I think this would be a nice aesthetic alternative anyway (I hate how bulky most of the televisions are), but it's also a matter of culture. Most of my Japanese friends I try to share this game with immediately want to trash the TV right off the bat because "it's not 'slow life' to have one." Honestly, I can't disagree.

Event: Farmer's Market
Set up your own stall to sell a select number of produce for the day. While any item sold could be more than the shipping bin price, the amount could depend on factors like friend-ratings and luck. You could also peruse stalls from other sellers from different towns, loading up on basic produce at a premium price, which would allow you to have a stock of staples without having to build up the specific crops/buildings/livestock/etc. on your own farm, making it an ideal set up for farm designers who would like to forgo those for aesthetics and for chefs who don't like to fish but would like a bulk of certain seafood. The event should probably be locked behind a certain milestone or achievement, such as after a certain number of years or gold earned, at another location, etc.

Or make them useful for storage at all... I usually end up with 4 fridges to store everything I need for cooking or lots of chests in my kitchen.

Hello Stardew Valley Players!
This post is here for the sole purpose of you sharing whatever you want for 1.7 update. (If ConcernedApe ever does release a 1.7 update of course)
I have taken the time to research a lot of things that people want, with a few things that I threw in.
If you want your idea to be added to the list just post it in the comments down below, I will try to add it to the list as fast as I can!
This post is going to be pretty long so be prepared!
About the dehydrator: its current availability is pretty embarrassing. It neither saves the quality level of fruits and mushrooms, nor does it allow the insertion of five different quality levels of items (fruit or mushrooms). We sincerely hope that the quality level of the input items will be preserved when processing fruits and mushrooms in the new version.

Regarding the automatic Petter: it is very valuable and practical, but it was difficult to obtain in previous versions. Additionally, the difficulty of obtaining this item is significantly different between the two progression paths, Community Center and Joja. We all hope to add more automatic Petter acquisition channels in the new version.

Regarding special tasks: Why can't we add a "refresh task" option? This option allows players to refresh a week's worth of special missions by using some Gold Gems or Qi Gems. In previous versions, it was common to get repeated missions multiple times in a row, thus preventing important missions from being obtained in time (e.g. "Island Ingredients", "Danger in the Abyss", "Skull Cave Invasion"). We believe this adjustment will greatly improve the playability of the mission system.

Regarding "Radioactive Ore": This mineral is extremely valuable. It is very useful, but it is extremely difficult to obtain and has extremely high requirements. We recommend increasing its purchase quantity in regular mines to better meet players' needs in the game. However, its actual performance is not satisfactory. Therefore, we can add one of two features to it: 1) automatically fetch processed items; 2) expand its scope from only feeding the immediately preceding processor to feeding the next ten adjacent processors.

@all:
Is there a way to search all suggestions that have at least 3 likes and are not fulfilled already?

I think it's not that useful to discuss to many different ideas HERE in this one thread (again)...
I would more like to search and filter all unfulfilled suggestions with enough likes to add my thoughts for version 1.7.

How about adding male animals that give us meat. Milking the cow and goat gives us milk. Shearing the sheep and llamas give us wool. The chicken and ostrich lay eggs. The male version of the animals can give us meat in the same or similar ways.

Another idea I had was to add a candy collecting event to the spirit's eve festival to make it more like trick or treating on halloween (like the egg hunt does for the egg festival).

I've always wanted meat, cause right now the farmer is on a Benjamin Franklin diet (fish and vegetables only)
