Co-op stopped working out of the blue

Hi all, I'm playing a co-op game with someone and we both have exactly the same mods installed. My laptop is on the slow side, and we've had issues (such as the co-op game not loading) but the usual cmd + winget update --all used to always do the trick.

Tonight, however, the game just. won't. launch. I'm not the host - I load the game through Steam, select co-op, click on the co-op game where the host is waiting for me, and then I get a black loading screen until it all crashes.

We've updated the mods, we can't see why it keeps crashing. Does anyone have any idea what to do?

Here's the log parser, in case it helps: https://smapi.io/log/c67c62b5361548ea9c2d23794fd28968

That's odd. Sometimes for me it helps if the host and I both restart. We were able to eventually troubleshoot it down to "the host has to restart", but also my issue is the "failed to connect" prompt, so not sure if this will help at all.

Hope you can find the answer you're looking for

Edit-
If you wanted to troubleshoot it yourself, you can disable the mods one by one, and see if that helps anything. I'd start with the high probability problem mods (the ones smapi highlights) and then go from there. Let us know how it goes. Cheers.

Thanks Ranger!
Alright, I'll start testing and removing the mods one by one.
Thanks for mentioning that restarting from the host's computer might help, we'll try that as well. I was able at some point to launch the game yesterday after maybe 3 hours of trying, updating, restarting... the game itself loaded for about 15min and finally started.

It may just be my laptop (win10, i5, practically non-existent graphics card) that's too slow sometimes. I've tried switching to my steam deck but it doesn't handle co-op at all and apparently it's a well known bug, so I'm sticking to what works *sometimes*.
