Solved Co-Op house upgrade problem

So on my current farm, I am trying to upgrade all four cabins (The more space the better) but when I quickly start a split-screen co-op, give my other character to materials and have them buy an upgrade from robin, It takes WAY longer than four days to upgrade it.

It only works if that character sleeps that day.

That makes sense considering I only "Summon" them in when I need them
