Can't upgrade house

I have been trying to upgrade my house to include the nursery but every time i try, it just says i don't have enough money. I do have enough money plus extra and i have the right amount of hard wood. I have a BUNCH of mods all updated but nothing new from when i upgraded the house the first time. Its a fairly new save as well, and the money was from actual sales and such, not cheated in. Im super frustrated because my playthrough will grind to a halt if i can't upgrade. Google was no help, it only directed me to multiplayer options, but I'm not on multiplayer and this isn't a cabin- its the main farm house :( Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it?

I don't know if it's gonna be helpful for you or anyone else, but I've had same issue today. So, I googled and this is the only topic i found.
Well, I earned some more money and reload the game (just in case), and in the end she took 65.000 instead 50.000 listed... I don't remember something like that in my previous saves... Weird.
Hopefully it helps someone ^^
