1.6 Update Can I Play Stardew Valley Co-op Between a Mac and an iPad?

Hi everyone!

I’m hoping to play Stardew Valley co-op with my daughter. I have the game on my Mac, and she wants to join using her iPad. We’re thinking of connecting via LAN and the ipad is asking for IP. I try add all the IPs I find in my Mac but nothing works.

Does anyone know if co-op works between these two devices? If so, any tips on how to set it up?

I am having the same issue trying to play with my wife. We try "Join LAN game" and then enter IP address XXX.XXX.X.XXX. But it gives a "Connection failed" error after a few minutes. We tried hosting on Mac and joining from iPad as well as hosting on iPad and joining from Mac. We both run v1.6.15

This is intended to be possible, as Stardew supports multiplayer games where a "PC version", which includes Mac, acts as host and a "mobile version", which includes iPad, joins the game. However, it's important to note that this entire system is experimental and may not always work, bugs are expected. Good to also note that the apple arcade stardew valley+ does not have this functionality, so if you don't have the game bought on both/either device, then you won't be able to begin the process at all.
