Mobile [BUG] Trash Can Upgrades

On the mobile version of stardew valley, I went to do the first upgrade (regular to copper) of my trash can, and got a separate piece of the trashcan, looked like the lid.
I couldn't throw it away or sell it, I can use it and it would make the motions like how you would use an axe, or pickaxe, but it wouldn't do anything besides the swinging.
When I'd use it it would go through each look (from each upgraded trashcan) copper, to iron, to gold etc., during the swings. I made another farmer and havent encountered the same problem.
Has anyone else had the same thing happen?

I have a similar issue.
The copper trash can appeared in my inventory instead of replacing the actual trash can.

I cannot use as a tool as presented here.
I cannot put anything inside the cooper trash can.
If I put something in the regular trash can, I don't get any money back.

I'm playing on Android.

Update : The day after I received the trash can there was the winter ice festival, nothing special happened. But the day after, when I waked up, I received a notification from the blacksmith telling me that my cooper trash can is ready. I went to the blacksmith and this time it worked. I now have a cooper trash can where I can put things and get some money back.
