PC [Bug] Sound quality dip and and increase after 1.5.5 update

I'm not 100% certain that this happened after the last update, but it was within the last week or so, so the times line up.

Very recently I opened the game and winced as the volume of the game had gone up by something like 4 times. I quickly got in game to see if something had changed with the preferences between save files thing that was announced with one of the recent updates. All of my volume settings were the same in game (about 75-80 along the bar) and the volume in game was just as loud as on the main screen. I checked my volume mixer settings in Windows 10, and the game was still at 50 (like all my other things. I keep all my applications at 50 in the menu). Turned it down and back up and the music was still excruciatingly loud. I closed and reopened the game and the sound change was still there, so I changed the volume setting for stardew only in the mixer settings to 25. The startup music is manageable now, but still quite loud. I've also changed the volume in game down to about 20 to get about the same volume as before.

If it was just that, I would have just thought it was a change in the audio files from the update and been done with it. The problem is that with the increase in volume, the sound quality also degraded. It sounds off. It sounds a little distorted like it was amplified in a sound editor and now it has static and stuff going on. It's not the most noticeable thing, but it's still annoying. I don't mind if the game volume was increased across the board because I can just adjust that in my settings, but it didn't sound intentional is what I'm getting at. Has anyone else encountered this?
