I woke up on my farm while it was raining. I teleported to Ginger Island using the obelisk. When it was evening, I teleported back using the obelisk there.
Instead of rain, the cricket sound was playing. Once I go inside a building, the rain sound starts correctly playing.
Perhaps an update check for weather when using the obelisk to get back is missing and only one for time of day is being performed.
