PC [BUG] No sound when is transmitted to others devices and resolutions problems when playing split screen CO-OP.

Hey, I have a problem with my PC Stardew valley that I play in my laptop and it is that the game dos not sound when I transmit it to my TV though my HDMI cable everything else can be heard like the laptop sound ect. It only sounds when I have the sound transmitted on my laptop , And this only happens with my Stardew valley I always play my other's game in my TV when it is transmitted to it everything Sounds on the TV like it's supposed to be, it is only on Stardew valley that have this issue, I tried everything but I got nothing that can be fixed this issue. Hope that someone can help me with this problem I love this game and I love all the sound of it to and I would like to hear all the new soundtracks on the new 1.5 update in my TV that is better sounding quality that my laptop. (And in my computer(PC) is the the same everything else can be heard except the Stardew valley game, and when I play Stardew valley on console's there's no problem.) :krobus:

*I talk about the resolution problem when playing split screen CO-OP on a reply here on this post that is another problem from one of the "Solutions" I found for the sound problem and a "Solution" for the resolution problem when playing split screen CO-OP on another post here to, just note that they are not a actual solution for this problems just Solutions that I find for them and that this problems still needs to be fix. :paper:

I'm having this same issue. I've tried everything I know, but it's still not fixed. I hope this will be patched soon.
Yes but fortunately I technically found a way to fix this, in my case it is to open the game on window mode because if you open the game on full screen mode for some reason the game doesn't sound in other devices. After you open the game on window mode and check that the game have sound on the other devices like a TV in my case you can put it on windows borderless mode. Just always open the game on windows mode not on full screen mode.

(And thanks for replying and hope that my method of fixing this works for you to.)

P.S. My method of technically fixing the sound problem have one problem to, and it is that when you open the game in windows mode and then putting it on windows borderless mode, because of that you can not adjust the resolution so you can't adjust the game to the tv screen so the text won't fit on the on the screen when playing split screen CO-OP.
(In the picture I put on the post you can see that the resolution option it is faded, so you can't adjust the resolution.) So I don't hear the game or I can't see it correctly when playing split screen CO-OP, my only option it is to choose between the two of them because there is no answer or solution for none of them.

I found another technically "fix" and it is for the resolution problem when playing split screen CO-OP, and it is to open the game then putting the game on full screen mode which doesn't work properly because it doesn't sound on another device, then select the resolution that fits your TV or other device properly and then check that the game Npc text fit on the split screen CO-OP properly on your TV, after that put the game on windows borderless mode and close the game, now when you open the game the split screen CO-OP resolution will be the one you choose on the full screen mode.

Note: after you done this there is a chance that if you after this put the full screen mode back it can let the screen white and may need to restart your pc or laptop and then the game won't have the proper resolution and it is a pain to put it back on a proper resolution, and because you can't see the game right and can't see what you are doing on the game and the game doesn't have a option on the game title only in game so you can't adjust the resolution on the game, so what I did it is to change the laptop resolution and unplug and plug my HDMI cable so it changes the resolution of my laptop so then I a can fix the game resolution. (just don't put the game on full screen mode after you done the technically "solution" for the split screen CO-OP resolution problem and it should be fine)
So that is another problem that happen to me with the full screen mode.

*The "solution" for the two problems are not a actual solution for the reason that you need to basically open the game so many times to "fix" the sound problem and resolutions problems on split screen CO-OP because the sounds only works on other devices on windows mode and windows borderless mode and if you want to play split screen CO-OP on none of them you can adjust the resolution so you need to do all the things I said before so you can play the game with sound and a proper screen resolution for the split screen CO-OP HOPE that this can be fixed because it is not fun to open an close the game more than one time just to play properly on the TV or other devices because the full screen mode doesn't work properly on other devices (e.g. a TV in my case).

Hope that this helps people with the same problem or a similar one changing the UI Scale may help to but in my case I needed to do all I said that "fix" my problem.

The game just needs a fix/pacht for the full screen mode so it can play sounds on other devices or/and make the other two mode be available to have the option to adjust the resolution that's it, I hope these problems can be solved in the near future as soon as possible.:check:

please make sure that you set your audio device to TV before starting Stardew Valley (since Stardew can't handle an audio device switch after the game is started).
Also, make sure that your primary display device is set to the TV (not the laptop)

Yes i now that and I always set my laptop or pc tu transmit the sound on to the TV or other devices before I play or do anything on my TV or other devices, I only have this problem with stardew valley and the issue is that the full screen mode doesn't work properly when the game is transmitted on to a TV or other devices even when I set the sound to transmit on to the TV or other device before I start the game the sound just doesn't work on full screen mode so my problem has nothing to do with setting the sound before or after the game starts, if I want to play on my TV I need to adjust the game to be on windows mode then close the game and open it again so the sound works on the TV or other devices after that I can put it on windows borderless mode to play like if it was on full screen mode and still having sound but in those two mode the game resolution cannot be adjusted so if you want to play the new split screen CO-OP it will not work properly on TV's that have a small resolution (e.g. the npc text will not fit properly on the screen on none of the split screen CO-OP players screen)

In my post and replies I explained everything about this problems and what I do so I can play properly on to my TV or other devices.

Hey just keeping this post fresh, so I just want to notify that the problems are still there and the fact that I have managed to have ways for them to play with these problems I still would like these problems to be solved in the near future since other players still have the same problem and I know that not all of them know the "Solutions" that I have found for them so they don't know how to play on a TV or other devices on a full screen and still have sound on the other devices or TV, although there are also those who just do not know how to set the audio to a TV or other devices or just don't now that they need to do such thing for it to sound on other devices that is another story because the problem with the sound in this case like I said before is a issue with the full screen mode not working properly even wen you set the audio before the game starts the problem it still the on full screen mode, and the resolution problem is another problem that is involved with the "solution" I found so you can still play on windows borderless mode that is similar to full screen mode but still having sound, but windows mode and windows borderless mode doesn't work properly on split screen CO-OP on a TV's whit small resolution because you can't adjust the resolution so that is the other problem.

Hope that this problems can be fix because it it not a problem of having to set the audio before the game starts it is a problem with the full screen mode not working properly on another device and the other problem is not having the option to adjust the resolution on windows mode and windows borderless mode because if you are playing in those modes you can't play properly split screen CO-OP.

Hey, this reply it is to just keep this post up to date so it doesn't get lost under the piles of Help & Bug Reports so this problem does not go unnoticed to others players with the same problem or a similar one. :check:
