PC [BUG / HELP] Cursor freezes in some selection screens

Howdy, I'm new here! And I need some help with what looks like a bug.

About a week ago, I started playing on my computer instead of my phone. A problem I've noticed is that the cursor will freeze in certain selection scenes. Whenever I (A) visit the museum and attempt to donate an item to the collection (B) purchase or relocate buildings from the carpenter.

I'm accessing the game through Steam on a 2019 Macbook Pro.

UPDATE:

I can't even buy animals because the cursor freezes when the naming menu pops up.

I got this bug too

I can't move my cursor when construct or moving building from Robin

my cursor just freeze/ stuck there

Hey!
Registered just to answer that, found out that the solution for "cursor allways jumping to the first item" also applies to this one.

This fix also let me name animals:

Set this setting from auto-detect to force off.

For anyone else having this same issue who can't see the above image, the setting is called "Gamepad mode," and it may be set to "Force On" as well. I'm playing modded and on Windows, but it fixes the problem either way!
