I was playing in a multiplayer farm and managed to click the journal while my fishing line was casting. it was just north of the ocean on the bridge, the hook did not land in the water. afterwards the character was frozen in place. All I could do was open the journal; trying to swap to other items wouldn't work, and I couldn't get out of it no matter what I tried. once night fell the character passed out and the next day was business as usual.
