Linux [BUG] Extremely high CPU utilization and temps on ALL cores on Linux. Game not using GPU.

What's happening:
Running an unmodded Stardew version 1.6 from Steam on Arch Linux, I am seeing 70% utilization on all 16 cores of my CPU by Stardew, and it quickly gets the CPU to 100 degrees C. Stardew not using the GPU at all.

Issue was not present when I last played 4 years ago. Issue always present since I started again 2 weeks ago.

No other game or software is behaving this way, other than a CPU miner. Always using 70% CPU on all cores.

I've seen several threads where they see high utilization on a single core with manageable temps, but not all cores. I've attempted fixes from them, but no joy.

What I've done:
- Updated computer.
- Ran compatibility and legacy_1.5.6 versions.
- Set launch option VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json %command%
- Used Steam's compatibility proton hotfix, experimental, and runtime 1.0.

Hardware:
- Intel i7-13700k
- Nvidia RTX 4070, nvidia-open version 615.71.9.0

I'm not familiar troubleshooting such an issue, so request relevant logs.

And, of course, sorry if I didn't find a thread which answers this. My search for high cpu utilization on linux did not return any results here.

Thank you

Sorta. I am running Stardew on Linux, but I tried the solution from this: https://steamcommunity.com/app/492720/discussions/2/4413047330423470124/

By setting Stardew's launch option as:
Code:
__GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia __VK_LAYER_NV_optimus=NVIDIA_only VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/nvidia_icd.json %command%
Stardew doesn't run at all. Steam throws error:
Code:
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 151 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 5 (X_GLXMakeCurrent)
Serial number of failed request: 0
Current serial number in output stream: 173
But this makes sense I think, because I am on a desktop using a dedicated GPU, not a laptop or using hybrid graphics.

For drivers, I am using nvidia-open, nvidia-utils, etc. I also have lib32-nvidia-utils installed.

However, this issue is less of a concern. Even if the game was running on CPU only, it shouldn't use 70% of all cores to run. That is the primary issue. I'd rather not chase the GPU issue.
