I noticed at some point in summer i couldn't talk to Marnie at all. It didn't matter whether she was behind her counter or out and about, there simply was no option to talk to her. I could still buy items and animals from her shop like usual when she was manning it, and i could give her gifts without any issue, but regular conversation was not possible.
At the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies i managed to speak with her, and after that the bug seemed to have gone away. I could speak with her again on a regular day. But soon enough the bug came back and she was unresponsive again. I think i bought animals from her again before the bug returned, so maybe that somehow messes her up?
