Windows Blank screen during Leo's 9-heart cutscene

During Leo's 9-heart cut scene, the game becomes a dark screen after the camera pans away from Penny and the children in the museum. There is still music play and I am still able to open my inventory and exit out of the game. The same thing happened after returning to the title screen and reopening the farm, and again after fully shutting down the game and rebooting. I tried entering the mountains from different entrances (left side, from the mines, and from the Community Center side), and the bug continued to happen. I was able to skip the cutscene in order to continue playing.

I've had a similar issue with this even. The beach fishing scene (after the Penny museum scene) bugged for me and had the same effect. It occurred during the night market so I think its bugging out due to something in the scene's location blocking the intended scene and so the game gets stuck as it can't properly place everything the cutscene needs.

I just experienced this problem. I have re-started the day four times and there is no way around it. The first day was the first day of the Winter Market. I gave Leo the Stardrop Tea, then it cut to the 9-heart event, and after the library it went to a black screen with the music continuing while still being able to access my inventory. I restarted the day and gave Leo a duck feather this time (less friendship points). Then, the third day of the Winter Market came and I stumbled upon Leo by Linus' tent, and the 9-heart event began again with the same results. I am going to try again to avoid Leo for the entire day and see if it is in fact the Winter Market that is creating the problem. Just thought to do that while typing here. I will let you know.

Ok, so I avoided Leo until the Winter Market was over. When I encountered him the day after the cutscene, it was able to play through without any problems, so obviously it has to do with the Winter Market.

Avoid Leo until the Winter Market is over. It doesn't solve the problem, but it worked around it.
