1.6 Update Auto-Fishing bug (maybe)

i started playing seriously like a month ago, and its been a few days since i last logged in. Its been fun but idk if this is an issue, but my game is somehow auto-fishing ?? i tried to do the usual fishing with just tapping and pressing, but somehow when i press on my screen the fishing bar doesnt go up? and the weird thing is, even without me pressing anything i could still catch the fish! i know it may be an advantage but when i wanna catch treasure chests, i cant get the fishing bar to go where i want to go.

tell me is this a bug or no?
ps. im playing with an android.


UPDATE : i've finally found the reason! turns out i had a barbed hook all along but i'm just noticing it now so sorry for the confusion. anyways, its a good one to use when you want to fish easier (havent tried it with the harder fish)

Depending on which fish it is and how fast they move, as well as your level and the size of the green bar, it’s not that unusual to catch fish without having to move the bar.

However, the bar should move when you tap.

which rod are you using? Do you have any bait or tackle attached?
What happens when you switch to another control scheme?

i know sometimes fishes can go up and down on the bar itself without me touching it, but in my case the fish goes way beyond the fishing bar but the fishing bar FOLLOWS without me touching it. Not even touching it and it goes up.

I use the iridium fishing bar, with no tackle whatsoever. only using some deluxe bait if im not wrong. Also, oddly enough i cannot switch to another control scheme. i tried yesterday but it doesnt do anything.

That should only happen with the barbed hook tackle, otherwise the bar shouldn't move unless you're actively interacting with the game.

Are you sure you aren't accidentally touching the screen with a thumb for example?

and the fact that other control schemes don't work for you is puzzling, are you selecting different ones after the selection menu scrolls down? Then do they show up as selected in the menu at all? or is it just when you try and play that you don't see anything. Are you sure you're even pressing ones that would have a visual effect (the ones that don't have 'invisible' buttons/joystick)

right, so i REALLY tried to interact (pressing long + also tapping) but it doesnt move if i control it, it moves by itself. i moved both my hands out of the way to make sure but it still does that. I use both joystick+buttons, and the touch one. I made sure to press the button, but nothing happens!

Also, sometimes it bugs out when i switch between joystick and the touch control whereas the joystick would appear at the very top left. ( i have to go to the options place to fix it tho so no problem with that)

Wow that's incredibly odd, I honestly can't imagine what you could be doing for it to act as such

Yes this is an issue currently, even just swapping back and forth a second time should fix it
